Sonya DuBree

Sonya DuBree is a third-generation native of Raleigh with deep roots in the community she proudly calls home. Throughout her life, she has lived and worked within a five-mile radius of the old Rex Hospital, the place where she was born. Sonya earned her law degree from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University in 1994 and immediately began her career practicing family law with Marshall and DuBree, PLLC. After the retirement of Bill Marshall, she founded Raleigh Family Law, located close to her birthplace.

For 13 years, Sonya successfully owned and managed Raleigh Family Law, assisting hundreds of clients through challenging times in their lives. In 2024, she joined Tharrington Smith, LLP as a partner, focusing entirely on practicing family law without the responsibilities of running a firm.
