Accounts, Submissions, and License to Us
If you create an account, submit a listing request, upload content, or provide data, you promise that the information is accurate and that you have the rights to share it.
By submitting content, you grant DivorceTalk a worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, use, reproduce, modify for formatting, publish, display, and distribute your content in connection with the site, directories, search, promotion, and archives. You also grant other users a license to access and view your content through the site.
We may edit, refuse, or remove any content at any time to protect users, comply with law, or maintain quality.
Listings and Featured Placements
Free listings
- We may create or accept free basic listings for informational purposes.
- We may verify, revise, or remove any listing that is incomplete, inaccurate, duplicative, or outside scope.
- No guarantee of visibility, rank, or inclusion.
Featured placements
- Featured placements are paid promotional spots that can improve visibility within selected North Carolina cities or counties.
- Features may include a profile link to a firm website and a business map embed on the profile page.
- Placement, order, and design may change over time. We do not guarantee leads or results.
Rankings and methodology
Any ranking, badge, or curation is editorial. Criteria, signals, and presentation may change. We may show different results to different users based on location or context.
Payments, Renewal, and Taxes
- Paid features, subscription terms, and current pricing are shown during checkout or on the Get Listed page. Prices may change prospectively.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel for the next billing period. We do not issue refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
- Charges may be processed by third-party payment providers. You authorize recurring charges. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
- Non-payment may lead to suspension or removal of featured placements or listings.
Acceptable Use
- No scraping, crawling, harvesting, or automated access without written permission.
- No posting of false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful content.
- No infringement of privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- No attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls.
Intellectual Property
The website, design, text, graphics, logos, icons, and software are owned by DivorceTalk or its licensors and are protected by United States and North Carolina law. You receive a limited, revocable license to access and use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control or endorse those sites and are not responsible for their content or policies.
Notices and Takedowns
To request removal or to report alleged infringement, submit details through our contact form. Include the URL, a description of the content, your rights or basis for the request, and a sworn statement that the information is accurate.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Our aggregate liability for claims related to the site will not exceed one hundred dollars.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold DivorceTalk and its owners, officers, and partners harmless from any claims arising out of your use of the site, your content, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina without regard to conflicts rules.
Any dispute will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. The seat of arbitration will be North Carolina. If a court finds the arbitration requirement unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina. You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class or representative action.
Termination and General Terms
- We may suspend or end access at any time for any reason, including violations of these terms.
- If any provision is unenforceable the remainder stays in effect.
- These terms plus any posted policies are the entire agreement for your use of the site.
- You may not assign your rights or obligations without our consent. We may assign these terms.
